A moment of tranquility – Chester Groves and Queens Park suspension bridge looking mighty fine. To me it’s the true heart of the city – I guess the river (any river) brings that emotion by default with the ebbing and flowing of the tides. It really is a slow heartbeat.
The river was originally shallow enough at this point to cross and so the Roman troops created a walled city which is still of the best preserved examples in Britain. Still one of Chester’s best spots for an ice cream or that first date romantic wander. And relax…
