Lest you forget where you are, from almost every part of Paris, the omnipresent pillar of light that is the Eiffel Tower is there to remind you both day and night. Once darkness descends and the lights come on it seems the romance of the city is doubled! 

When peripheral elements are removed focus falls solely on the lights and then leads the viewer gently to Sacré Coeur in the distance.  A flood of rich Bordeaux for the main background colour only helps to intensify the balmy night time air. and the quintessential ‘Frenchness’ of the scene.
