The Old Dee Bridge in Chester has spanned the river here in some shape or form since Roman times. At high tide the weir disappears under water and the river takes on a whole new shape seemingly at maximum capacity as it meanders ever onward. Maybe it’s because it is one of my fave spots or simply because it’s on the way to my Mum and Dad’s. Either way it is simply gorgeous spot to watch the waters change.
