A vista so well known to all who live in or visit England’s capital, seen here from under the trees of the Southbank. Just as important and probably most famous is the sound of the building’s infamous bell – Big Ben which lies high in The Elizabeth Tower adorned by its world renowned clock face.  The Palace of Westminster demonstrates the Gothic Revival style of architecture on such a staggering scale that it is more akin to an educational campus for wizardry than an ornate meeting house for the countries key decision makers.

The still and calm reflection in the River Thames dilutes much of its colourful history and it seems so quiet and subdued – just cross Westminster bridge if you are looking for a reality check!
