Almost transported from Gotham (or maybe that’s just me!) – Chester Town Hall from the simply ancient Abbey Gateway. When architecture throws you a natural frame like this then it can’t go unacknowledged! The foreground Gothic arch dates from 1300 and leads, like some sort of time-portal, into the grounds of Chester Cathedral. Heading away from the cathedral, and back out into the city, one is met with this fabulous view of the city’s Town Hall which was build nearly 600 years later but still echoes form in its Gothic Revivalist style.
